Tan House | Waterfront Home in Point Frederick
Positioned on a prized Central Coast waterfront residential site, this architect designed contemporary new dwelling is a carefully considered response to both its exceptional outlook and its flood-prone conditions.
The architectural design elevates the living spaces to address flood planning requirements, while maximising uninterrupted water views and natural light. The home is organised to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living, with a generous open plan kitchen, dining and living area flowing to landscaped terraces and a new swimming pool overlooking the waterfront.
A separate studio provides flexibility for work, guests or creative use, adding another layer of functionality to the home. The design balances robust construction with refined detailing, ensuring durability in a challenging coastal environment while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
Working closely with Central Coast Council requirements, the project demonstrates a clear understanding of planning controls and site constraints, translating them into a highly resolved and buildable outcome.
This project highlights how thoughtful architectural design can unlock the potential of complex waterfront sites, creating a resilient, elegant and highly liveable home. For homeowners on the Central Coast, it showcases the value of engaging an architect to navigate constraints and deliver a bespoke home that responds to both lifestyle and environment.
Our role encompassed architectural design, documentation and project management for the Development Application (DA) stage.
