The site is zoned E1 Local Centre, supporting a range of commercial, retail and community-focused uses that strengthen the economic and social role of the Turramurra town centre.

Constraints & Opportunities
Located within an established commercial precinct, the site presented an opportunity to improve pedestrian engagement and activate the public domain through contemporary retail and hospitality uses. The challenge was to create a commercially successful development that responded positively to the surrounding village character while enhancing the experience of both customers and businesses.

Design Strategy
The architectural design focuses on creating a vibrant and welcoming destination through improved street activation, increased visual transparency and strong connections between indoor and outdoor spaces. Contemporary materials and detailing are combined with carefully considered planning to provide flexible retail and café tenancies capable of adapting to changing commercial needs. Particular attention was given to pedestrian movement, customer experience and the relationship between the building and the surrounding streetscape.

Approval Pathway
The project progressed through the Development Application process, requiring careful consideration of planning controls, commercial functionality and urban design outcomes within the Turramurra village context.
