Han House | Heritage Home Addition in Lindfield

Han House is a heritage-listed alterations and additions to a Federation period bungalow located within the Clanville Conservation Area in Lindfield. The design carefully preserves the original dwelling, which remains largely intact and continues to define the home’s street presence.

To the rear, a contemporary extension introduces a generous open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, along with additional bedrooms at the upper level to accommodate a growing family. The new works are deliberately set behind the original home, ensuring they are discreet from the street while significantly enhancing functionality and livability.

This approach demonstrates how heritage constraints can be thoughtfully navigated, delivering a modern family home that respects its historical context while providing light-filled, flexible living spaces.

Our role encompassed architectural design, documentation and project management for the Development Application (DA).
